Leena Al Olaimy is co-founder and executive chairperson of 3BL Associates (3BL), a people+planet strategy consultancy working on interconnected sustainable development issues. She has advised Nobel Peace Prize nominees, impact investment funds, governments, corporates, and multi laterals on innovative, inclusive, multi-stakeholder models to advance development. Leena also co-founded award-winning social ventures like Public-Planet Partnerships, Nonviolent Resilience, and Diversity On Board.

Leena has delivered 200+ talks globally, engaging multi-sector audiences like the World Economic Forum, TEDx, several United Nations organizations, KPMG and Accenture. Her expertise lies at the nexus of Peace, Planet, and Prosperity, with underlying themes of Values-based Leadership, Innovation and Inclusion.

Leena is a Dalai Lama Fellow, a Fulbright scholarship recipient, a Dubai Expo 2020 Global Impact Innovator, a Wall Street Journal “Woman of Note,” and is the author of Compassionate Counter-terrorism: The Power of Inclusion in Fighting Fundamentalism. She holds a BS in Culture and Interpersonal Communications from New York University, an MA in Globalization Studies from Dartmouth College, and is an alumna of the THNK School for Creative Leadership in Amsterdam, and Singularity University’s Executive Program at NASA Ames Research Center. Leena was also the first Arab consulting affiliate of the Porter-Kramer ‘Shared Value Initiative’.

Leena began her career 20 years ago advising Fortune 500s on corporate communications, and later worked at the Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs on key regional security forums. She has served on several boards, including the Chatham House steering committee for the ‘Future Dynamics in the Gulf’ project, and HRH Prince El Hassan Bin Talal of Jordan’s West Asia-North Africa Forum. She is frequently asked to judge and mentor entrepreneurship competitions, like MIT’s Innovate for Refugees and UN SDG hackathons. She is a lover (and singer) of jazz and soul, and is learning inter-species communication.
